Detoxification is something we should all do on occasion to clear out our digestive system. Most detox methods may seem foreboding, but there are ways to detox in a single day.
You can follow the simple methods I propose in this article to detox your body in 24 hours. Do this once a month, and you’ll feel energized and less gunked up inside. Read on to learn how to cleanse your body by tomorrow!
Sleep for 10 Hours
While it isn’t a good idea to sleep ten hours every day as that is an excessive amount of sleep, doing so once a month during your detox day is extremely beneficial.
For one, you’ll be gaining less energy due to eating less so additional sleep will help you recover some lost energy.
Your body does a lot of digestive cleansing during sleep as well. Sleeping for ten hours in a row will help you feel less bloated as well as reducing stress levels.
Drink Lots of Water
This one’s a given, and you’ve probably heard it in almost every diet and detox method that exists. The simple fact is that water affects our body in so many ways that you really need lots of it to be healthy.
I’d recommend drinking a large glass when you first wake up and when you go to sleep. You should also drink water periodically throughout the day.
Move Around and Stretch
Don’t sit still for too long or you may upset the detox effect. Make sure you get up and move around every half hour. Perform stretches at least every hour for maximum detox.
Stretching will diminish fatigue, get your blood pumping, and burn some extra calories. It’s easy enough to stretch now and then as it’s quite an enjoyable activity, no?
Utilize Digestive Drinks
You’ve all heard of special coffees and teas that help you digest your food quicker. These types of beverages are the ones you should aim for. They’ll speed up digestion and help your body reach maximum detox in a 24-hour period easier.
Sadly, the thing you must avoid at all costs is alcohol. Alcohol is regarded as a toxin by our bodies and as such gets targeted when we ingest it. If you drink too much alcohol, then your body will spend all day breaking it down while al the calories you ingested get stored as fat instead.
On your detox day, don’t drink any alcohol or soda beverage. Nothing but water and digestive drinks should be used. However, on an ordinary day, a glass of wine or a single shot of whiskey will do you just fine.
